AAAA Weed

Buy AAAA Weed in Canada, Quads at the Top of the Scale

Welcome to the top shelf. AAAA Weed, known across Canada simply as Quads, is the highest standard grade on the letter scale. Every strain in this collection has earned its four As on the things that actually matter: trichome coverage, bud density, trim quality and cure.

At BC Bud, our Quads sit above the everyday AAA range and just below our small-batch Craft Collection. These are the strains we reach for when bag appeal matters as much as potency, and they are priced accordingly. If you have been smoking Trips and wondering what the step up feels like, this is it.

What Actually Makes a Quad a Quad

The four-A grade is not about THC alone. Plenty of AAA flower tests in the same range as a Quad. What separates them is everything you can see, smell and taste before you light it, which comes down to how carefully the plant was grown, trimmed and cured.

  • The Look: Dense, tightly formed buds under a heavy coat of trichomes. Quads sparkle in the light rather than looking dusty, and the trim is close enough that you see very little leaf.
  • The Aroma: Complex rather than just strong. Where a good AAA hits you with one dominant note, a Quad tends to reveal layers as you break it up, and the smell fills a room from the moment the jar opens.
  • The Trim: Careful, tight and usually hand-finished. Loose or machine-heavy trim is the most common reason a strain lands at AAA instead of AAAA.

AAAA vs AAA vs Craft: Where Quads Sit

The letter scale is not regulated by anyone. It is a market convention that grew out of the pre-legalization era, and it survives because it describes something lab numbers do not: the full sensory quality of the flower. Here is how the top of that scale breaks down at BC Bud.

AAA (Trips)

The most popular tier and the best value in the range. Potent, well-cured and reliable, with slightly looser structure or trim than a Quad.

AAAA (Quads)

The step up. Tighter trim, heavier frost, more complex terpenes and noticeably better bag appeal. You will also see AAAA- and AAAA+ on our labels, marking the lower and upper edges of the tier.

Craft (AAAA+)

Small-batch, hand-trimmed flower from legacy growers who prioritize quality over yield. Craft is about how it was grown, not just how it graded.
